Hey blog fans… (wait for clapping to end)

Well what can I say about the first day of November, the penultimate month for the year in which a lot of us have gotten our lives back on the pre pandemic track.

My day was absolutely incredible, I could not have asked for a better Tuesday at this moment in time. Evie and I had a day in the spa attached to our hotel. Arriving after breakfast. This meant hours spent in saunas, swimming pools, hot tubs, steam rooms and my favourite the rain shower. I don’t know but I just find them mindful!

Post pamper and feeling regenerated, we stuck corse for Beer ‘N’ Play, a restaurant not far from our evening activity, this was a really cool venue, with a lot of beer on tap and an arcade inside, so after our pizza we decided to play some air hockey. A game which gets the competitive side of Evie out, but not me 🙄.

So on to our main event!

We got to see the amazing Wet Leg. Oh my god, literally been wanting to see them since I heard them last year. Evie and I spent a lot of time listening to their music whilst she was on tour herself and whilst on road trips. So it was such an amazing birthday gift to get to watch them.

However, I need to take some time to mention how amazing Coach Party where who warmed up for Wet Leg!

There set was so full of energy, you could tell they really enjoyed being on the stage with so many great fans in the crowd. Then venue was such a great place to enjoy the music. They had a similar vibe to that of Wet Leg with two strong female leads in the band, and bringing up topics of past relationships. I strongly suggest giving them a listen!

Now onto the main event. I felt like a teenager at my first live gig again, in the intimate venue, the sticky floor, and the mutual elation when the band walks out at first. Jumping around singing at the top of you lungs… wow that feeling I have not felt since before the pandemic, Yes the cure and 50 cent where amazing to see, but a stadium is a far cry from the electricity of the smaller venues at times.

Tomorrow we head back to Gothenburg and it is the end of our Stockholm adventure, it has been amazing and my travel companion, best friend, girlfriend, has made it incredible as always.
