It’s Sunday - ending the week after what has been the most hectic, intense schedules and leaving all emotions on the brink. Yesterday we celebrated the summer with fantastic friends and family. We woke up a bit late and intended to go to Crosby Parkrun but upon getting in to the car we saw we only had 20 miles in the tank; if we were to get fuel on the way we’d only have had two minutes to spare… so instead we decided to do our own Not Parkrun from Formby to Hightown and back. Beautiful 6.5k albeit in baking heat at only 8:50am. No wind and already 24 degrees. We were actually glad we missed it as it meant we were already half way through our run as the official one was starting.

The afternoon was taken up by a wonderful gathering of friends and family; eating, drinking and reminiscing. The evening ended with everyone having a go on the VR headset - exclaims of “this is amazing!” and “are you kidding me?!”… they were all only on the Home Screen 😅

Today Evie and I travel back to the Midlands to celebrate the birthday of baby Alec (not so baby as he turns 2). We’ll stay here until Wednesday when we head to Battle (the one in Hastings, not 1066.)
