So today I turn 29, and it is not my first birthday alone and abroad. I was travelling to America for my 21st. However, this time I have to go to work today… the pains of being an adult. Even if I do enjoy my job.

Yesterday was a fun day, I managed to meet up with some more colleagues, actually did some grocery shopping and now have the basics in my flat for me to consume. It was an interesting experience trying to translate things into English whilst also converting the currency to pounds to think if something is reasonable.

Hopefully, this will get easier over time 🤓

Today I am looking forward to going bouldering, something I enjoy doing. I need to convince my colleagues to come and climb, it is such a fun and inclusive sport.

I will look forward to my first weekend, and I am sure I’ll be sharing all my activities over the weekend in this feed.

The photograph above is of one of the many configurations of my studio apartment. A luxurious 30sqm place. But the ideal for my start here, I may promote myself to a larger spot, mainly so I can stand up straight on the top mezzanine!
