My first Monday; today I need to go to Migrationsverket. I know the language is hard but this one translates nicely to migration services. So I’ll take a bike ride over this morning, to get my photo taken and fingerprints for my residency card. Then I can become an official person here 👏🏻.

I also plan to open up a bank account today, there are some banks which allow you to do this without a personal number, as I am waiting for mine to come… hopefully it’ll be here soon. But for now I hope this bank lets me have an account to get paid into.

Yesterday I had a great day, I cycled to play some padel with some people I met on a facebook group of Expats in Gothenburg. Everyone was really friendly and welcoming, which made it acceptable to not be great at the sport. I need more practice.

Then I had my first experience of a Max (Swedish fast food restaurant). They make a good spicy avocado sandwich.

Following all this I met up with my colleague to go on the hunt for some salvaged bikes. There is a really cool company called Cycelköket for 100sek (£8/ 10€) you get a bike, which is in need of repair, but you also get access to the workshop. This is the cost per year for a membership. Something I am thinking of having based on how wonderful the idea is. It is a shame the opening hours are only Wednesday and Sunday 15:00-18:00.

To wind down I watched some Netflix and had a call with Evie after she finished her incredible show in London last night.
